More than a zoom? Hmm, I'd venture some LSD but drug references are probably not appropriate. Oops.
Zoom and a pan to get the light streak connecting the zoom streaks?

The technique: Zooming from 10-22mm, 20 or so times. Panning a few degrees between each zoom.

This has more of a Star Trek look than a Star Wars look. That is, if there were Christmas in space.
