What the heck... Beer with a champagne cork... in a 750ml bottle? That's the Boulevard Smokestack Series for ya. Because some beers are just too big for twelve-ounce bottles.
I also bottled my 5-gallon batch of home-brew brown ale tonight. Tastes pretty good, even warm & flat. ;) Now I just hafta wait a couple more weeks for the yeast to chow down on those sugars to create the carbonation.

Try a lambic, specifically Linden's. It's got a wine-like cork.

Nice! If it tastes good when you bottle it, it will be excellent when it's done conditioning in the bottle.
I'm currently waiting for the barley wine to condition in the bottle. It fermented for 6 months and is now sitting in bottles until October... Should be 13% by volume when it's all done.

Brewing your own beer? You felt like you needed a hobby?

I figured since I don't have any other hobbies already, might as well...
