Stopped by Brenton Skating Plaza in downtown Des Moines yesterday afternoon to see if I could catch some hardcore ice action. There were maybe two girls there who had some actual skating skills. Everybody else was pretty much just wobbling around the oval.
Brenton opened a few years ago and claims they're the first of their kind in Iowa (dedicated man-made outdoor rink along the river). Guess that must mean they're not the only of their kind anymore.
Oh boy! You may have noticed an image size increase. Gona try going with 720px instead of 640px wide images now. That's actually an extra 72,320 pixels on a standard aspect ratio image! :) Go ahead & complain if you have a small monitor & the page doesn't fit on your screen anymore. :P
