The new Center street ped/bike bridge is finally nearing completion. One side will be for foot traffic, the other side for bike traffic.
And the Des Moines river is creeping higher & higher under the bridge. We're predicted to reach reservoir levels just shy of the 2008 floods by the end of next week. Right now, this is pretty much entirely from snow melt. If we have a wet spring, we're totally screwed, since the flood problems didn't even start to begin until April-May in '08 and '93.
64° yesterday... more snow today...
