Shot this for the "Blurry Mess" challenge on one of my photo sites.
The background is actually a M.C. Escher drawing of interlocking fish (a tessellation). Escher is by far my favorite graphic artist. The things this Dutch dude could come up with just boggle the mind, and really mess with reality. He had a thing for geometry and impossible realities by messing with the rules of perspective, but also had incredible woodcarving & lithography skills. In Escher's work, what you see the first time is most certainly not all there is to see.
