... Keeps the pirates at bay.

In a time of uncertainty, there is one thing we can always count on. Pirates.

The apple has been a proven (yet little-known) pirate defense mechanism since the 16th century. Modern research shows that it was the potent antioxidants which reacted with the pirate's high salt-water to body fat ratio, causing hallucinations, dementia, and a severe case of the Mondays.

And on a completely unrelated note... apparently, I'm in my hometown paper today, for yesterday's Karl King Band concert.
